Welcome Back!
Technological changes are influencing our students on a daily basis. The challenges the students face today are unlike any other generation. In order for our students to be equipped with these 21st century skills, creativity, collaboration, problem-solving and digital citizenship are the essential skills that students need to master and be able to apply in all curricular areas.
As we study and look at the Common Core State Standards, technology is embedded within the standards. As educators, we need to ensure that our students are literate in research and information analysis, understand how to use media purposefully, and finally, how to communicate effectively for authentic audiences.
Our goal is to collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop plans that integrate technology in thoughtful and respectful ways that enhance instruction. Technology is a tool, it is not the "secret sauce." Within the various pages of our website, we plan to demonstrate what instructional technology looks like in District 65. On the following pages you will be able to meet our staff, read up on news in educational technology, get updated on our pilot programs and review links and resources tied to our curriculum.
Please do not hesitate contact us with any questions!
